To apply for a music scholarship, you must follow this link fill out the application
and set up an audition time by calling
the Department of Music at
701-777-2644. Auditions can be performed at any time or during one of the Music
Departments open days such as UND's Open House or Honor Band and Choir. The following
are audition requirements for the respective areas:
| Keyboard: | Two contrasting works from different style periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th Century). Memory is optional. |
| Vocal: | A solo selection with keyboard accompaniment. (An art song or aria is recommended.) Sight-reading, tonal memory exercises or vocalises may also be requested. |
| Instrumental: | Solo(s) demonstrating two contrasting styles with piano accompaniment. |
| Strings: | Solo(s) demonstrating two contrasting styles with piano accompaniment. A solo might include a Concerto, Sonata, unaccompanied Bach or a concert etude. |
| Percussion: | A solo in two of the three areas: snare drum, timpani or mallets. |
