Center for Rural Health sponsors health career awareness activities K-12 teachers and health care providers can team up with the Center for Rural Health to promote health careers. By 2012, seven of the ten fastest growing professions will be in health care, so educating students about the opportunities that exist in the diverse field of health care is critical. Regardless of what grade or subject you teach or what kind of health care facility you work at, incorporate health careers into the week of March 22-27. Start planning now for HIPE Week (Monday, March 22 through Sunday, March 27). Go to www.ruralhealth.und.edu/hipe to access numerous career activities, posters, table tents and other resources.
