Anthropology offers archeological field school Anthropology invites students to attend its archeological field school, which is being offered in cooperation with the National Park Service. The field school will be held at the Elbee and Karishta archeological sites, located within the Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site near the town of Stanton, N.D. Field school students will receive hands-on training and experience in the traditional areas of archeological research, such as the use of different kinds of field equipment and techniques for excavation and artifact recovery, site mapping, documentation and record keeping. Students will also be exposed to geophysical survey (remote sensing) studies occurring at the site.
