[RE] Use Me. campaign will be on campus Dec. 2
A group of UND students have been working on a community project, focusing most of their efforts on campus. This week, the [RE] Use Me. campaign is trying raise awareness about the high volume of disposable coffee cups that are used daily. There will be large savings in energy, trees and landfill waste if we were to use travel mugs instead of disposable coffee cups.
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, the [RE]Use Me. campaign will have a booth located all day in the Memorial Union, and they will have Coffee in the Quad from 2 to 3 p.m. The students will be giving out information on the the use of disposable coffee cups vs. travel mugs, as well as handing out travel mugs, water bottles (for those who do not drink coffee-compliments of UND Dining Services), drawings for gift certificates from campus coffee shops and Green Mill restaurant, as well as $1 off coupons for travel mug purchases from Dakota Textbook.
