Join the English department Revels on Thursday


Please join the department of English for a reception with Crystal Alberts, Kathy Dixon, Sandy Donaldson and Michelle Sauer from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, in the J. Lloyd Stone House. We will celebrate four books and their authors, and we will have two special announcements from our faculty.

Crystal Alberts, visiting assistant professor, has edited a collection of essays on renowned American writer William Gaddis. Sandra Donaldson, Chester Fritz Distinguished Professor, has completed a scholarly edition of Victorian poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s letters to her friend Isa Blagden. Kathleen Dixon, Fulbright Professor and director of Women Studies, has completed a comparative study of American and Eastern European television talk shows, and Michelle Sauer, associate professor, has published two books in medieval studies. We also have special news about Fulbright Professor Richard Shafer and Chester Fritz Distinguished Professor Michael Beard.
