Phi Alpha presents talk on the history of Fighting Sioux logo, nickname Phi Alpha Student Social Work Honor Society, with support from the Student Social Work Association, is sponsoring an informational event on campus on Friday, Oct. 9. Amy Phillips, assistant professor of Social Work, will present "A History of the 'Fighting Sioux' Logo and Nickname and Use of American Indian Imagery on UND's Campus" from 11 a.m. to noon in 113 Education Building. This presentation is open to all, and is designed to provide education and promote healthy discussion regarding this timely issue.
