President Kupchella issues statement on Dru Sjodin verdict Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Dru Sjodin, including her many friends here at the University of North Dakota. We hope that the verdict begins to bring some small measure of closure to all of us who were so deeply touched by this tragedy. Throughout this terrible ordeal, Dru's parents, Linda Walker and Allan Sjodin, have been tremendous role models for how to deal with tragedy with strength and grace. Although the proceedings are not yet concluded, we hope that this verdict will bring them some degree of resolution and peace.
