LEEPS lecture Friday to focus on Black Hills uplift Alvis Lisenbee of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology will give the next LEEPS lecture on Friday, April 24, at noon in 100 Leonard Hall. He will speak on "Laramide Structural and Igneous Development of the Black Hills Uplift." All are welcome. Dr. Lisenbee also is the featured speaker at the Geology and Geological Engineering Spring Awards Banquet. The Department of Geology and Geological Engineering Leading Edge of Earth and Planetary Science lecture program (LEEPS) brings nationally and internationally known scientists and others to UND to give talks on cutting edge science and engineering. Lectures cover a wide range of topics, including academic science, applied engineering, and environmental issues of current significance.
