Building a veteran-friendly campus Webcast is April 29 A Web conference will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29,at the Clinical Education Center Auditorium, 725 Hamline St. Over 46,000 veterans have returned from the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and are eligible for GI educational benefits. Many of them will start or return to college. In addition to probable emotional needs, veterans will also need special help navigating the campus system and their benefits. This Web conference will highlight the unique and varied needs of veterans and explore how your campus can deploy a support network to meet these needs. Administrators in student services, counseling services, disability services, admissions, and financial aid are invited to attend to learn how the Minnesota system has structured their support efforts and hear tips on making their own campus more veteran-friendly.
