Boeing invites George Bibel to present seminar George Bibel, mechanical engineering professor, was invited by Boeing to present a seminar about his book, "Beyond the Black Box: The Forensics of Airplane Crashes." The all-day seminar was March 18 in Renton, Wash., and repeated March 20 in Everett, Wash. Boeing is evaluating incorporating Professor Bibel's book and seminar into training for new engineers. Additionally, Dr. Bibel has been appointed a distinguished lecturer by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). In that capacity he has been invited to lecture about his book at AIAA meetings organized by General Electric (Cincinnati) and Gulfstream (Savannah) with additional presentations scheduled. Dr. Bibel has also been appointed to an FAA safety team and has lectured at FAA conferences and safety meetings.
