Farewell reception honors Kevin Young A reception will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, in the Vennes Atrium, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, to honor Kevin Young, Chester Fritz Distinguished Professor and interim chair, Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Everyone is welcome to attend. Dr. Young received his Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma, followed by five years of postdoctoral research at Texas A&M University and at the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Young joined the University of North Dakota in 1985. He is leaving UND to become a faculty member in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
