President names interim vice president for research Barry Milavetz, currently associate vice president for research, has been named to serve as interim vice president for research effective Nov. 1. Dr. Milavetz, associate professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and has been at UND since 1986. -- President Robert O.
