Note revision to National Science Foundation salary policy The National Science Foundation (NSF) has provided clarification of its salary policy as follows: Senior project personnel are now able to charge up to two months of regular salary in any one year. The previous policy limited salary compensation to summer months only. Compensation for salary in excess of two months must be included in the proposal budget, justified in the budget justification, and specifically approved by NSF in the award notice. This revision only applies to proposals received on or after Jan. 5, 2009.
