SPEC workshop is Oct. 9 Do you have an idea for a summer course, program or camp? Are you interested in learning how to turn your idea into a reality? The Summer Programs and Events Council (SPEC) is holding a workshop for any faculty or staff member who wants to explore the viability of their idea by engaging in a needs analysis and a process for development. The workshop will be led by SPEC co-chairs, Diane Hadden, cirector of Summer Sessions, and Kerry Kerber, associate dean of Continuing Education, and will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Memorial Room, Memorial Union. The workshop is planned in conjunction with SPEC’s Start-Up Mini-Grant Program which awards deserving proposals with funds to help cover the development, marketing, and start-up costs for new summer courses, programs, and camps.
