The program is divided into three parts: -- Procession, presentation of Chester Fritz Distinguished Professors, and conferring of honorary degrees -- Commencement address by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, former North Dakota governor and UND alumnus Edward Schafer -- Conferment of degrees, beginning with doctoral degrees, followed by master's and bachelor's degrees.
