Ceramics students will sell pottery, exhibit work
Students and members of the Ceramic Arts Organization (CAO), will sell pottery at their annual Mother’s Day Sale in the Hughes Fine Arts Center Wednesday, April 30, and Friday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will take place inside the main lobby and in the Anna Mae Room. It is open to the public. Proceeds from demonstrations go to benefit the ceramics students and the CAO. The fall and spring sales are the major fundraisers and allow CAO to take students on field trips and help them attend their national conference each year.
There is also an off-campus show, “Amalgamation: An Exhibition of UND Student Ceramics,” which consists of UND ceramics students art. It will be held at the Arts Place, 1110 Second Ave. N. The Arts Place is sponsoring it and CAO will provide refreshments. The show will run through May 2. The opening reception will be Wednesday, April 23, from 5 to 8 p.m.; it is free and open to the public and all artworks are for sale. -- Jan Orvik, Writer/Editor, University Relations, janorvik@mail.und.nodak.edu, 777-3621 |
