Distinguished Thesis & Dissertation Awards
The Graduate School's Distinguished Thesis and Dissertation Awards will be held in the Idea Laboratory at the Ina Mae Rude Center at 3 p.m. Monday, April 28.
The 2008 thesis award will be presented to Christopher Lee Flakker for "Determination of Key Parameters Affecting Titanium Dioxide Activity, Carryover, and Attrition in a Fluidized Bed Photoreactor." Flakker earned a master's degree in chemical engineering under the guidance of Darrin Muggli.
The 2008 dissertation award will be presented to Mark A. Cervinski for "Phosphorylation and Regulation of the Dopamine Transporter by Psychostimulant Substrates and Protein-Protein Interactions." Cervinski earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology under the guidance of Roxanne Vaughan.
