Brain Bee is set for April 23

The third annual Greater Grand Forks Regional Brain Bee will be held Wednesday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Reed T. Keller Auditorium, School of Medicine and Health Sciences. This is a neuroscience competition for high school students, covering topics such as brain anatomy, development, function, disorders, treatments and research advances in neuroscience. This year we anticipate 12 students will be competing. Last year’s eligible winner recently returned from the National Brain Bee in Baltimore. The first year’s winner is currently a freshman at Harvard, majoring in neurobiology.

This event will kick-off the 100th Anniversary of the North Dakota Academy of Science annual meeting, which begins the next morning, April 24. http://www.ndacadsci.org/

Please join us in supporting these students. A reception will follow in the Vennes Atrium. For more information, please see
