Grand Cities toast Kupchellas at reception April 22 You are invited to say thank you and farewell to President Charles and Adele Kupchella at the "Grand Cities Toast to the Kupchellas," from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the Ballroom of the Alerus Center. This is an opportunity for the entire community to say thank you to the Kupchellas as they begin the next phase of their lives. Join us for an evening of music, laughter, conversation, and delicious hors d'oeuvres. A program will begin at 7:30 p.m. that will feature a short video recognizing some of President Kupchella's accomplishments during his tenure as UND's 10th president. The Kupchellas joined the University of North Dakota in 1999 and will retire June 30. President Kupchella’s leadership increased economic development in the region and state, and resulted in higher enrollment, better facilities, and a move to Division I athletics. This event is hosted by The Chamber, the City of Grand Forks, and the University of North Dakota. Tickets are $20 per person with reservations required by April 16.
