Author-adventurer Shelley Gill visits Grand Forks middle school


Famous author-adventurer Shelley Gill visits Schroeder Middle School Commons from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27. There will be a community event for parents and kids. She will inspire students to be excited about reading and writing by emphasizing nature, animals and adventure through her personal stories. Gill has over 20 children's books about nature, animals and adventure stories, such as running the 1,130 mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race, swimming with Blue Whales in Baja, climbing in ancient temperate rain forests, and sailing in Antarctica.
