Remembering Kathleen Wentzell
Kathleen Ann Wentzell, supply technician, military science, died June 20 in Altru Hospital. She was 46.
Kathleen A. Karlstad was born March 10, 1960 in Lake Preston, S.D., to Henry and Bettie (Lohan) Karlstad. She grew up and attended school in Lynd, Minn. She graduated from high school there in 1978 and married Jeff Wentzell Sept. 16, 1994 in Grand Forks.
She worked at the Grand Forks Air Force Base and then as a supply technician in miliary science at UND from 1999 to 2006. She enjoyed going to the lake, spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends, selling Tastefully Simple, shopping and her dog Harley.
Wentzell is survived by her mother Bettie, husband Jeff, sons Chad and Tyler of Grand Forks, daughter Jessi (Corey) Krueger of Prior Lake, Minn.; brothers: David (Diane) Karlstad, and Doug Karlstad and special friend (Carol), both of Lynd, Minn., and grandchildren Kyle Krueger, Jadyn Wentzell and Hunter Krueger.
She was preceded in death by her father, sister-in-law Beverly Karlstad, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service in Amundson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall, Minn. |
