Deadline Friday for COSE nominations


In 1991 the Council of State Employees (COSE) was established to enhance the morale, productivity, and image of state employees, and develop an appreciation of state agencies and programs. The council represents all state employees through the equitable assignment of state agencies of which the University of North Dakota has two regular representatives and one alternate representative.

Benefitted staff employees are eligible to be elected to the Council of State Employees. The University of North Dakota is currently represented by David Senne, Facilities, and Leyton Rodahl, Facilities, and Doug Osowski, ITSS, serving as alternate. Leyton Rodahl’s term expires Dec. 31, with an election to be held to fill that vacancy. The length of the term is three years, Jan. 1, 2008, through Dec. 31, 2010. Between four and six full-day COSE meetings are held per year at locations throughout the state.

A minimum of 10 signatures is required to be nominated. Additional information concerning the nomination process is detailed on the nomination form which has been mailed out to all benefitted employees.
