Lori L. McMahon, associate professor at the University of Alabama, will present a seminar titled "Cholinergic Denervation, Sympathetic Sprouting, and Long-Term Depression at Hippocampal Synapses" at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the Clifford Haugen Lecture Hall, Room 1360, School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Harry "Chip" Davis, Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases, Schering-Plough Research Institute, Kenilworth, N.J., will present a seminar titled "Niemann-pick C1 like 1 (NPC1L1): Role in Cholesterol Absorption, Atherosclerosis, and Activity of Ezetimibe (ZetiaTM)" at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, in Room 3933, School of Medicine.
These seminars are sponsored by the Center of Biomedical Research Excellence Pathophysiological Signaling in Neurodegenerative Disorders and the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology and Therapeutics. All are welcome to attend.
