Vossler's book named one of top 12 North Dakota memoirs Ronald Vossler's memoir, "Dakota Kraut: Or How I Learned to Love My Accent and Ancestry," has been named by Read North Dakota as one of the top dozen important memoirs/autobiographies of the past century in North Dakota. Other notable authors on that list include Larry Woidwode, Debra Marquart, and Eric Sevareid. Organizations involved in the Read North Dakota Project selection of Vossler's book include the North Dakota Historical Society, the North Dakota Humanities Council, North Dakota Council on the Arts, Prairie Public Broadcasting, and the North Dakota Library Association. In addition, Vossler, a senior lecturer in the English Department, has his most recent film, "We'll Meet Again in Heaven," one in a series of national and international award-winning films, currently airing on public television stations across the United States.
