|Julia Baldwin presents next LEEPS lectures|
Julia Baldwin from the University of Montana presents the next LEEPS lectures Friday, Oct. 5. The Department of Geology and Geological Engineering Leading Edge of Earth and Planetary Science lecture program (LEEPS) brings nationally and internationally-known scientists and others to UND to give talks on cutting edge science and engineering. Lectures cover a wide range of topics, including academic science, applied engineering, and environmental issues of current significance. At noon, Baldwin will address “Extreme Crustal Metamorphism of Granulites in the Anápolis-Itauçu Complex, Brasília Belt, Central Brazil” in 100 Leonard Hall. At 3 p.m., the focus is “Formation of Eclogite and Reaction During Exhumation, Snowbird Tectonic Zone, Northern Saskatchewan, Canada” in 100 Leonard Hall.
