"CMS Prevention Bus Tour" visits Grand Forks July 2 The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in cooperation with the Office of Women’s Health are sponsoring a bus tour as part of a “Healthier US” campaign titled the “CMS Prevention Bus Tour.” The tour’s purpose is to increase awareness about the prevention benefits of Medicare and the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle for people of all ages. The bus is an impressive “billboard on wheels” and will visit all 48 contiguous states. Grand Forks has been selected as one of the bus stop sites. The Wellness Center, 801 Princeton St., has welcomed the bus to park in front of the building and to use the Wellness Center as a gathering place for state and local dignitaries promoting a healthy America from 10 to 11 a.m. The Prevention Bus visit will include a bicycle ride on the walking trail adjacent to the Wellness Center, visits with CMS staff, and available information supporting healthy living and active well-being.
