Nominations invited for Humanism in Medicine Award The School of Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking nominations for the 2007 Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Awards presented by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation. The awards will be presented during the M.D. Class of '07 commencement awards luncheon May 13 at UND. One graduating medical student and one physician faculty member will be recognized for excellence in both compassionate patient care and scientific achievement. Each recipient will be awarded a $1,000 prize. To nominate either a graduating medical student or a physician faculty member, or both, submit a letter to the Student Performance and Recognition Committee (SPRC) in care of the Office of Student Affairs and Admissions, 501 N. Columbia Road Stop 9037, Grand Forks, ND 58202-9037, that outlines why the individual should receive the award.
