Public meeting will discuss storm water The Federal Clean Water Act established storm water requirements to control the direct discharge of pollutants into waters of the state. Under delegation from EPA and the NDSDH, the City of Grand Forks, University of North Dakota, and Grand Forks County have been given responsibility for regulating the discharge of storm water from their jurisdications to the Red River and the English Coulee, which flow through the City of Grand Forks. This notice has been issued to meet the requirement to inform the public about the upcoming meeting so that they may provide comments on the storm water pollution prevention plans. Specific questions on any aspect of the city, the county or the University storm water pollution prevention plan may be directed to the contacts listed at the bottom of this notice. The storm water public input meeting will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 12, at Grand Forks City Hall, 255 N. Fourth St., Room A101.
