Public scholarship funding proposals due March 19 The Center for Community Engagement announces its 2007 call for proposals for public scholarship projects involving UND faculty and community partners. Proposals are due March 19 with awards to be determined by April 2. Funding is available in two categories. One is a pre-research category for up to $1,000 for an individual faculty member to pursue the development of a research partnership with a public partner. The second is a research category for an amount of up to $7,500 for faculty from two or more departments with at least one involved community partner. Proposals will be reviewed by a faculty committee. This is the third year funding from the Office of the Vice President for Research has been provided to foster research and creative activity that involves members of the public and disseminates research results broadly. Ten UND projects have been funded in the past two years.
