Scientist will discuss Martian meteorites Hanna Nekvasil from Stony Brook University presents the next LEEPS lecture Friday, Feb. 2. At noon he will present “Martian Magmatism: Towards a New Martian Paradigm,” in 100 Leonard Hall; and at 3 p.m. he will discuss “Late-Stage Volatile Evolution in Martian Magmas: Insights From the Chassigny Meteorite” in 109 Leonard Hall. The Department of Geology and Geological Engineering Leading Edge of Earth and Planetary Science lecture program (LEEPS) brings nationally and internationally known scientists and others to UND to give talks on cutting edge science and engineering.
