Support World AIDS Day Dec. 1 World AIDS Day is Friday, Dec. 1. This is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV and AIDS. Help stop the spread of HIV and end prejudice. Wear a red ribbon and red clothing on Friday, Dec. 1. You can pick up a free red ribbon at the Student Health Promotion Office located in the Memorial Union this week. The red ribbon is the international symbol of AIDS awareness; it is worn as a sign of support for people living with HIV.
