Note Saturday Metropolitan Opera auditions time change The Metropolitan Opera auditions will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Josephine Campbell Recital Hall, Hughes Fine Arts Center, this Saturday, Nov. 18, rather than noon as previously announced. Fourteen singers are scheduled to compete for cash prizes and the chance to advance to the regional auditions in St. Paul Feb. 17. Not since 1980 have there been this many singers in the North Dakota district. The master class will begin around 3 p.m. The audition/concert and master class are free and open to the public. -- G.
