Operation Campus Friends needs your help! Operation Campus Friends is a joint venture started by Adele Kupchella and Student Government. Each year, Operation Campus Friends works with campus leaders and student organizations to send hundreds of items to UND students who are deployed for military service. Campus Friends hopes that this small gesture reminds those away from home that we miss them and look forward to their safe return. We are asking members of the campus community to donate items for the care packages that are sent to the soldiers. Items sought include sunscreen, chapstick, individual sized Crystal Light packets or other similar drink mixes, beef jerky, sunflower seeds, and hard candies. The committee hopes that with help from all areas of campus we can show our soldiers that even though they are not on our campus, they are not forgotten. Donations can be brought to the Student Government office, main floor, Memorial Union, between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The committee would like all donations by Wednesday, Nov. 22, so that holiday packages may reach the soldiers in time.
