Psychology names Harshbarger outstanding alum


Dr. Dwight Harshbarger, executive director of the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies in Concord, Mass., has been named the UND Psychology Department Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient for 2006. He received his Ph.D in Psychology from the University in 1969.

As director of the Cambridge Center, his mission is to advance the study of behavior and its humane application to practical problems. He will present "Behavioral Research: Advancing Humane Applications” in a psychology department colloquium on Friday, Oct. 27, at 3 p.m. in 302 Corwin-Larimore Hall.

Dr. Harshbarger will be receive his Distinguished Alumni Award at the Northern Lights Psychology Conference, Saturday Oct. 28, at a noon luncheon.
