Rebecca Flowers will present LEEPS lectures Rebecca Flowers from Cal Tech will present the next LEEPS lectures Friday, Oct. 20. The Department of Geology and Geological Engineering Leading Edge of Earth and Planetary Science lecture program (LEEPS) brings nationally and internationally known scientists and others to UND to give talks on cutting-edge science and engineering. Lectures cover a wide range of topics, including academic science, applied engineering, and environmental issues of current significance. At noon, Flowers will present “Unroofing the Colorado Plateau and Implications for Carving the Grand Canyon,” in 100 Leonard Hall, and at 3 p.m. in 109 Leonard Hall, she will discuss “A Lower Crustal Perspective on the Stabilization and Reactivation of Continental Lithosphere in the Western Canadian Shield."
