Textbook rental is a success

This semester the UND Bookstore introduced textbook rental to the campus, which helped save UND students over $200,000. Due to the success of textbook rental, we sold 3,000 more units than we sold in the fall of 2009. Choosing rentable titles for the upcoming semester is one way you can help save students money. You can find out if your textbook is rentable by visiting www.rent-a-text.com and clicking on the faculty tab. If your book is not on the list and you are interested in making it rentable, please contact the text department at the bookstore.

With the passing of the Higher Education Opportunity Act, we are going to need your course information earlier than we have ever needed it. The HEOA requires the campus to have course textbook information available to students the first day of registration for the term. For the spring semester, that date is Nov. 1. You can help the University comply with this deadline by submitting your adoption to the Bookstore by Oct. 15. We will be distributing the adoption forms over the next few days. If you are interested in setting up a meeting to talk about textbook rental, adoptions, or any other concerns feel free to contact Griffin Gillespie at 777-2106 or 1120txt@fheg.follett.com.

You can submit your orders by:

  • Emailing your information to: 1120txt@fheg.follett.com
  • Faxing your order form to: 701-777-2108
  • Calling us at 701-777-2106
  • Submit an edoption
