CRC will release White Balloons for Peace Sept. 21

Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to celebrate International Peace Day with the Conflict Resolution Center at the “White Balloons for Peace” event at noon Friday, Sept. 21, behind the Chester Fritz Library.  We will share a moment of peace as we release white balloons.

International Peace Day was created in 1981 to honor and strengthen the ideals and practices of peace.  In 2001, a bill was passed by the United Nations with the help of the Peace One Day organization to establish International Peace Day as a global cease-fire day.  The goal of the Peace One Day organization is to standardize International Peace Day across the globe in hopes that it will become self-sustaining.
