The doctoral examination for Joseph Kent West, a candidate for the Ph.D. degree with a major in Chemistry, is set for 1 p.m. Monday, July 2, in 240 Abbott Hall. The dissertation title is "Formal Insertion Reactions of Stannylenes and Germylenes Into Phosphorus-Halogen Bonds: A Structural and Mechanistic Investigation." Lothar Stahl (Chemistry) is the committee chair. The public is invited to attend.
