Faculty sought to assist with Welcome Weekend and student ambassadors

The Student Ambassador Program is seeking faculty members to help with Welcome Weekend. Student ambassadors lead events and activities throughout the weekend to welcome and help our new students adjust to life at UND.  We would appreciate faculty members to help with the Campus Life Small Group Session, which is led by a student ambassador and a faculty member. The session is one hour in length and covers a wide variety of topics, including but not limited to: academic advisors, study habits, what students do for fun, transportation options, residence life, meeting new people, the set-up of classes, etc. If you are interested in helping with this important session, here is the commitment:

  • Thursday, Aug. 18: attend a planning session/lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Memorial Union Ballroom. At this time, you will eat lunch with the student ambassador you are paired with and plan your Campus Life Small Group Session agenda.
  • Saturday, Aug. 20: lead your Campus Life Small Group Session from either 2 to 3 p.m. or 4 to 5 p.m. You will be assigned to only one Campus Life Small Group Session (unless you are interested in helping with both).

If you would like to assist with a Campus Life Small Group Session, please contact Kristi Okerlund either at kristi.okerlund@email.und.edu or 777-6468. We appreciate your support and dedication to students.
